Is the Moviebuff Access App free to download?

Yes. The app is free to download and is continuously updated to support new operating systems.
How do I connect to the Theatre Wi-Fi?

Open the app and we will figure out the nearest theatre to your current location. We will also prompt you the Wi-Fi details of the theatre to enable you to connect to the Theatre Wi-Fi.
Can I connect my Bluetooth headsets with my phone and listen to Moviebuff Access?

Yes. You can connect either your wired or wireless headphones your phone and enjoy the Moviebuff Access experience. It is mandatory to connect to a headset without which the audio will not play. This is to ensure that the other patrons in the theatre are not disturbed.
What is the audio delay / latency on the Moviebuff Access system?

The Moviebuff Access setup in most theatres is limited to one screen or device per Wi-Fi line and use limited channels to ensure the lowest latency possible. The techniques employed in the development of all also ensure minimal latency.
Will all movies stream audio through the Moviebuff Access app?

We expect most movies to come with Visually Impaired Narrative (VI – N) content / audio description. If the film maker creates the movie with VI-N then all Moviebuff Access enabled theatres / screens will be able to stream audio content.
If I open another app on my phone or tablet, will Moviebuff Access continue to stream audio?

Yes, if you switch to another app, Moviebuff Access will continue to stream audio content in the background.
Can I download Moviebuff Access on any mobile phone?

Moviebuff Access is available for all Android devices running Android 12 or higher and iOS devices running iOS 16 or higher
Can I use Moviebuff Access outside of theatres, like for movies at home?

Moviebuff Access is specifically designed to work with theatres that have audio fetch device-enabled screens. It does not currently support use for movies at home or on other devices.
How do I find out which theatres support Moviebuff Access?

You can use the app to detect nearby supported theatres.
What should I do if the app crashes or freezes?

Please restart the app, and if the issue continues, try reinstalling it. If you need further assistance, please contact us at support@moviebuff.com
What should I do if I can't hear the audio descriptions clearly?

Ensure your headphones or earphones are properly connected and the volume is adjusted. If the issue persists, try reconnecting to the theatre’s Wi-Fi or restarting the app. You can also reach out to the theatre staff for assistance
Can I use Moviebuff Access with my mobile data if the theatre Wi-Fi is weak?

No, Moviebuff Access requires a connection to the theatre's Wi-Fi to function properly as it syncs with the audio fetch device-enabled screens
